ive been redesigning a few of my old characters into demons and developing a world around them
this one is Jynx, some of you might remember them! he is now an imp with the ability to steal voices

Much like his name implies, Jynx has the ability of jinxing; he will always be able to jinx the other person whenever the two happen to say the exact same word at the same time. Nothing will happen if neither person says the word “Jinx”, but Jynx always says the word as it allows him to steal the other person’s voice, leaving them mute. Attempting to jinx him will backfire and he will steal the other person’s voice anyway. He can give back the jinxee’s voice at anytime by saying their name, but he will rarely do this without asking for something in exchange. He has stolen many humans’ voices with this trick.
Every earring he has corresponds to a voice he has at any time. Silver ones belong to someone who are still living, but if the jinxee dies before Jynx gives them their voice back, the earring will turn gold and their voice will belong to Jynx forever.
