Max and Hallow share a lot in common; both are big wolf-like beings who possess strength most would deem unnatural, but live in constant fear of the world and thus feel the need to hide. Having gone through similar experiences, Mallow’s components agree on most things, and results in them being stable - fusion-wise, but the same cannot be said for their emotions, which they tend to bottle up, and release upon being threatened. Mallow is immensely powerful and can easily hold their ground against opponents, but mostly stay on the defensive when battling an enemy of higher power. However, despite their scary appearance and often aggressive behaviour, they long for companionship; while Max and Hallow find some solace in their fused state, they wish for others' company, even if it may take some time before they open up. Once their trust is (eventually) gained, Mallow will throw themselves headfirst into a fight if it ensures the safety of their new friend.
