Pretty cool rendition of the character from Brave! I'd try to go simpler with the rendering and follow through with your transitions. At certain places it looks like she just got out of a coal mine (unless that was exactly what you were going for) .

I love how you rendered the hairs. I would try to make the squiggly lines more purposeful, right now they look very random. Still cool, but you know, just some points I think could make this piece even better.

And oh yes, eyes are 3d objects, so they will cast shadows, receive shadows etc. you know, maybe you might want to consider that as well if you would want to improve the piece and make it even better.
