CAS = Close Air Support.
Designated to aircraft dedicated to a ground-offensive role. Unlike bombers or other fighter aircraft (which are more hit & run attackers, which don't necessarily ensure single-target kills) they get much closer to the ground and are more of a precision weapon, as seen in the opening stages of the 1st Gulf War...
I hope I haven't bored you with the details, but this was a pet-topic of mine...

Nice work! I know you didn't do the textures, but there is some pixel drag under the very back that stands out. I love how you have the engines placed, with that angle, and location. Keep it up!

I really love the overall effect of this illustration. Its looks remind me of the old hand drawn illustrations I used to see when I was a kid- The ones that would sometimes be cutaways...

That's nice. exceptionally futuristic. The design is very robotech/veratech, but it's excellent. The engines at the bottom kind-of takes the gun out of gunship hey? where are the bomb-bays??

well now ... those are engine, are gravity engines (emiting high radiation)
and what means veratech ?
there are no bomb bays because its a guship (like a helicopter)
it has the folowing waepons
-2 turrets (one under nose, one on the back)
-has the wings that can carry diffrent weapons(such as rockets rocket pods, Air-to-Air missiles, energy weapons)
-and if you look at the tail, you can see some hatches those are holding the
rocket artilery, the rockets shoot out from the tail like a fountain (usualy are high explosive and nuke)
