in the utter silence, the skittering footsteps were a welcome noise. until the ground began to shake in rhythm with the footsteps. and a caw tore through the silence like a rusty chainsaw. the stench of rot. wafted to him as is scraped its scythe-like hands through the ground, uprooting the rotten corpses hidden beneath it.

other than an array of needle sharp legs, the reaper possesses scythe-like hands. although i did not find a nice way to show it in the image the idea was that with its beak it could swallow a person whole into its rotting insides to be devoured by the enormous maggots eating its insides.

added the rift logo, hope that is ok... if not i can remove it. no problem.
