I sit with my headphones listening to the songs that
Remind me of that night we had not long ago.
Of the twilight surroounding us,
The water lapping against the wooden warf, a melodic sound.
I close my eyes and see you standing there, beside me.
Hand in mine, your eyes only for me.
The light glowing across the river, boats floating lazily by,
And the sounds of children playing in the distance.
I stand, you hold me close and our lips meet,
You lips soft and moist on mine.
I remember that night.
I remember as the songs that remind me of you play softly.
I dream of us, of what we were, of what we used to be...
I remember the way you loved me. I remember you loved me that night,
Your lips always on mine and our hands always entwined.
I open my eyes, tears running down my face, I'm back in my room.
And I remember you're no longer mine.
