Description
There is a book series called "The Worst Witch" that I absolutely adored as a child. There was also a tv series and movie in the 80s.
This is an illustration of Mildred Hubble, the protagonist, who attends Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches. Unlike most of the students, Mildred epically fails at almost any attempt at magic. Hilarity ensues. She even has a tabby cat (and later a dog) instead of a black cat like all the other witches. "Punky Night Tonight" is one of the songs Ms. Bat, the chanting professor, teaches them in the series to celebrate Halloween. As you can imagine, Halloween is a pretty big deal to Mildred and her pals. The Grand Wizard (Tim Curry) even stopped by the academy to celebrate!
Netflix has announced they are remaking the series and I'm super excited! If y'all have children, I totally recommend the book series.
