Description
During the earliest days since being assigned to this neighborhood, Leuce never hesitated to make use of all her functions and programming. It was only natural as a robot designed for action, after all. Aside from the usual advantages that came in the form of her pre-installed functions and lack of any biological quirks, she was fortunate to have no worries for financial stability that often accompanied routine maintenance. All and any expenses she happens to accumulate were accounted and paid for by her producer, the MITO Conglomerate.Leuce's main directive was to receive and act upon any orders given by whoever bought and owned her at the time, and if she didn't have an owner, defaulted to the MITO Conglomerate. Until any command was received, she was effectively without any tangible supervision. Making use of her time, Leuce thought of exploring her surroundings and picking up some things of value along the way, so she one day happened across a small run-of-the-mill shop that sold spare parts and tools.
Browsing and buying a part or two was nothing special to Leuce; it was an exchange common to all trade establishments. Once the exchange had been performed with the lapin at the cashier desk (that lapin also happened to be the shop owner), she had no further business and proceeded to leave. On her way out though, she noticed her attention was caught by an interaction between the lapin shop owner and a smaller younger -apparently a teen- canine.
From what Leuce could observe and overhear, the shop owner was congratulating the younger canine for his hard work (making him an employee), displaying a sign of approval with her hand on his shoulder, while that canine seemed to reply to the owner's words rather happily, showing a level of enthusiasm for her. It was a mutual display of...something...Leuce was not familiar with.
"Is this common to all managements with their staff?" Leuce wondered.
