Render of Icarus, a Lightning Surfer character from Demaris!
I have not drawn a full body of the boy in years, and recently I've been thinking of giving him a fresh redesign. He looks different than other Lightning Surfers, and that's because not only he's an Elder, but also a Royal variant! Royal variants are stronger and look slightly different than their normal counterpart. They are also wiser and live much longer than the usual ones, around 400 years at most.

Icarus used to be a fan-made character for the Pokémon franchise, but the idea was scrapped and replace for something better. He felt kinda out of place if I'm being honest.
In his new home and design, Icarus is known as the King of Lightning, all because no other Lightning Surfers managed to defeat him and take his territory. He is 274 years old, is also much more powerful and controls lightning storms as if he was born in them. He can charge up his body in electricity more than what a Lightning Surfer can do, and is strangely fast for an Elderly dragon.
While he's not much of a fighter nowadays, Icarus will always stand up for his territory, until either his last breath or his defeat. He never holds a grudge if he gets defeated at anything. He is always glad he's not the best at everything! He is also a lot calmer and friendlier than his species, and doesn't fight for territory unless provoked. He likes to receive visits from nearby villagers and is rather sociable.
