Yay I’m done! This is my interpretation of Minish Cap’s Link and Zelda as they grew up. Lil headcanon explaining them:
As he grew up, Link got paranoid that monsters are going to come back. I mean, fighting monsters when you were young without much backup would probably do that, and a lot of people thought he was kind of crazy. He grew up and trained to be a knight, becoming Zelda’s bodyguard for a while, but later gave it up and became a blacksmith like this grandpa.
Zelda’s is a bit simpler. As the kingdom grew larger, more responsibilities were piled on to her and she struggled with the stress of being the princess. It was made worse when her father died. She became more irritable, but she managed to force it down and became a mask of calm when she was officially crowned Queen.
