AfterKia stitched the last section closed, then cut the string.
Her and Farren had already had quite a few sessions, and he was getting better and better.
Although...she had been ignoring the Rattler in the room for long enough.

"You're not the first you know."
Farren glanced back slightly. "You've taught the others to sew as well?"
Kia's ears drooped. "Farren, I know you're scared of me."
Silence....
"It's fine." Kia said softly, not looking up. "Quite a few members of my family were scared of me....some of them still are. And I don't blame them..."
She set her cloth down.
"When you first met me...I fought with mom...over something so stupid...Then you barely ever saw me...and when you did...I was bitter...and seconds away from yelling....How could you not be scared of me?"
She sighed.
"Honestly...I was even scared of myself..."
She was silent a moment, then shook her head.
"But I know what I did wrong. And I have changed. I've been thinking more about who I want to be..not just for myself..but for the family. And I want to be someone they can turn to...not turn away from."
She felt a tear, but ignored it.
"So...I just want you to know...You don't have to fear me anymore...And...I hope I can be a sister...you're happy to have."
Bonding? we'll have to see.
