Description
Working on new color references for the Does Not Play Well With Others characters. This reference is for Naga, who is by far the most obnoxious of the characters to color due to being about half snake. The snake colors here are all pulled from photos of snakes, the eye colors are pulled from photos of snake eyes. Lips and skintones are pulled from Indian beauty ads. Shirt colors are just whatever.

A lot of my character palettes seem to use similar shirt colors. I use a lot of kimonos and saris for reference, so I guess that's part of it. Still, I should work on branching out more.

Also, a lot of these palettes seem eye-searingly bright when they're laid out like this, but actually by the time they're used on the characters they look a lot more natural. It's one of those weird color context things.
