Description This was (originally) Star, mentioned in my journal. I..woke my sister up one day with her. She is so cute, isn't she? About three weeks old. Wild. Need of a family for 10 weeks.

We had taken her outside today (Sunday, June 1, 2008) and for an hour Zelda looked after her and Tiny. They were really funny to watch. Soon, Star had gone wild and bolted around the cage top while Tiny grazed. And, at 2:30 or so, Zelda came in and asked if I wanted to help her bring them back in.

I was fighting with Zelda over who would take her back inside. I finally let her do it, and tried to get her out of the cage. She finally stopped headbutting the sides when I put the pigloo over her. After calming her down, I picked her up and tried to settle her in the other pigloo with Tiny so Zelda could bring them in and I the cage.

Star bolted out of my arms. I guess nature got to her and she felt the need to be in it. A cage really is no place for a wild bunny at heart. And we only had her for like, four days.

In memory of her, I renamed her the Brown Flash, as that's all I saw as she ran away. We searched for over half an hour. Joe made a point that if 5 people looking for her couldn't find her, that she would do fine out there. Plenty of food, water, and other rabbits/bunnies.

I guess I thought I would take it the hardest, since I could calm her the most, but it was Zelda who had tears down her face, blaming herself. I....just miss her. I think the reality hasn't hit yet. I have two more pictures.

Live in peace, my friend. Brown Flash,
