Obviously, golems, animated constructs from jewish folklore, this time made from natural bedrock as opposed to clay, this time powered and controled by the life-force of a tree. Removing the tree would deanimate the golem, like rubbing off the 'e' in 'emet' (truth) to form 'meit' (dead). In this one people have tried burning the tree off it's back and are now attempting to pull it off instead. With the golem pretty much floating in the air it was difficult getting the people in the right angle. So I gave up, and tweaked it computer-stylee.
