Description
"So, who's dead so far?" Ridge whispered as they slowly made their way through the start of the sewer."Sjin, Toby, Kim, Dan, Zoeya and Lomadia. Then from other teams there's Benjii, who I think Xephos and Martyn killed, and that's it. So not many." Xevphera answered.
"I feel like those two might be a bit of an issue... They've probably left by now." Ridge whispered, continuing walking. "So, Benji died, that means Sparkles* is alone right?"
"Yeah, that was his partner..." The elf answered, not really paying much attention to the reaper. She seemed to be paying close attention to her surroundings, the sewer was dang and quite dark. Her elven eyes obviously made it easier for her to see and as for himself he had his magic. But still, the walls of the piping of the sewers was cracked, leaving holed where people could hide and ambush.
The elf put her hand out, stopping the reaper.
"I heard something" she whispered, not looking to him and just observing the tunnel ahead of them. They both stood there for a moment, before the elf jumped back, pulling the reaper with her.
From above dropped the singer, he had tried to get them from above. He turned to them, holding up a golden sword. He kicked the elf in the stomach, she tried to jump back but slipped on the piping, landing back with a groan of pain. The reaper stood in front of her, pulling out his iron hoe. The elf stood behind him, ready to attack if anything went wrong, while also defending the back of them in case anyone else decided to show up and try and sneak in a kill.
The reaper smirked, the singer looked unnerved.
"What's wrong Sparkles*? Scared?" Ridge taunted. The singer glared slightly.
"No!" He answered, defensively.
The reaper laughed. "Well... You should be." His face went dark and he slashed his hoe downwards, slicing into the singers chest as he tried to raise the sword to defend. He then swung it round, attempting to use the same tactic that he used on the mushroom loving girl before, the the singer saw it coming and raised the sword, slashing the hoe out of the way and cutting into the reapers hip.
Ridge didn't look impressed. His deep blue jacket had been ripped. He swung the hoe down, and before the singer could react his body fell into two separate pieces, split in half down the middle.
:Sparkles* was butchered by iron hoe:
Ridge smirked, turning to the elf "you alright?" He asked.
She nodded. "Shit..." She whispered, and seemed to be looking past him. "Quick." She pushed him into one of the holes at the side of the sewer. Splashing came towards them.
"I think he went this way!" They heard Martyn say, the sploshing getting louder and closer. The elf dipped into the hole after the reaper, obscuring the view. The sapling king ran past, shortly followed by the spaceman, who looked down, noticing that there was something in that water that slowly turned to dust, raising through the air and disappearing. He stopped, checking chat.
"Martyn." He said. The sapling king came back and looked at him. "Someone already got him." The spaceman said. "We should go for someone else."
"Panda and strippin?" Martyn suggested.
"Yeah that should be a good shot." Xephos stated, and watched the sapling king continue on his way. For a second, the spaceman looked back to the elf, who stood still where she was, she knew he was looking at her. She didn't attack, and strangely enough neither did he. He gave a small nod and what seemed to be a small smile, before he rushed off after the sapling king.
She breathed out, and stepped from the hole, turning to the reaper.
"Pretty tight squeeze in there." Ridge said, he hadn't seen the alien look at the elf. She was sort of glad.
"They've gone after strippin and panda." She stated.
"I heard. We should go for someone else. What were the other teams?" He asked, looking around.
"Honeydew and Nilesy, Lalna and Rythian... And that's it." She said. "I'd say strippin and panda would be our best shot but. Those two have gone after them." She sighed, looking through her pack. She pulled out some bread and handed him some. "So, Honeydew and Nilesy?" She asked.
He nodded. "Then we'll go for Lalna and Rythian." He ate the bread and then put his hoe back into his pack. “and if they havnt killed the other two by then then we'll go for them. And then the big two. And then we win." He stated casually. She nodded.
"Yeah."
They continued walking, though the elf hung behind a bit. She felt tired.
"You alright?" She heard the reaper ask.
"Yeah. Just not in a rush yet." She stated.
"Fair enough." He answered, and they emerged from the tunnel of the sewer, into the outside, where they were near the big cobblestone tower. "Right, I'd say Honeydew and Panda will probably be in the village over there." He pointed right next to the tower, where the second village was. "We should set up for the night, its sunset now." He added, looking up at the sky.
"I suggest we get out of the open..." The elf answered, walking towards the village. He raised an eyebrow, before following her.
"You're tired." He asked as they walked through the silent streets of the village.
"I'm fine." She answered.
"Bullshittttt~" he walked over to a small house, peering through the window. It was dark, nobody was in there. He went to the door, tapping the handle with the back of his hand. Nothing happened. He opened it, walking in and letting the elf go first. He closed the door, looking around.
"I don't think anyone will look to check the smallest house. The chest has already been raided anyway and there's no second floor. He dug in the dirt that was in the back, and found a hidden chest.
Two diamonds, not bad. Three sticks, a diamond sword might be in order. Five more arrows, perfect. And two more pieces of bread.
"Not bad." He said, looking around and noticing a crafting bench made into the wall. He crafted a diamond sword, and placed it in his sheath. He then handed one of the bread to her, and the arrows. He then sat in one of the corners, one made of wood, and looked to her. "Well, sit down then. We can rest."
She walked over and sat down. "I don't like being in the centre... I prefer the forest."
"Martyn and Xephos have probably set up there now." The reaper stated.
"I don't feel defended here. Or safe."
"I'll put some magic on the windows and door and I'll try and enchant the wood of the walls to warn us when someone comes near. He stood, walking over to the front to do what he had said.
She sighed, settling down into one corner, looking at the dark room.
By the time the reaper had done what he had said, she had fallen asleep. And while she didn't usually get to sleep easily, her healing wounds and the fighting and running and thinking they had done over the past few days, she was ready for sleep for the first time in ages.
The reaper smiled, redoing her bandages before taking off his jacket and placing it over her shoulders, and settling down in the opposite corner, closing his eyes.
The last thing he saw before he fell asleep,
Presumable Martyn growing a tree on him.
:strippin fell too hard:
And that was Xephos pushing him from a cliff.
The reaper nodded and settled down, falling asleep.
