Lewis clenched his eyes together as pain shot through his whole body, jerking it forwards as small sparks wringed around him and through his ears. He clenched his fists tight, to the point of piercing his palm and drawing blood. It hurt. A lot.
"Ahhh!" he yelled as he couldn't contain his pain any more. He opened his eyes as they streamed with tears, looking forwards he saw Exza looking quiet guilty, but didn't do anything to stop what was happening. He tried to think, but felt as though his mind wasn't there, like it was jumping from place to place. Like the memories he didn't want to remember returned and scarred him all over again. He remembered all the fights and the arguing, all the pain and tears. But he also remembered the joy, the happiness and the laughter.
With once last mind numbing jolt he went limp.
Attempting to speak, he looked up at the people who stood in front of him, as he moved his eyes around the images remained and somewhat lagged across his vision.
"What happened?" he finally asked as Exza walked up to him. She didn't look him in the eyes and didn't answer, but shakily took the bonds from around his wrist. "Exz?"
"Sorry."
"Well, it was to be expected really."
"I should have told you it would hurt that much." she walked back over to her equipment and began to pack it away.
"What happened? I thought I was supposed to be controlling a dummy."
The brunette girl turned and looked at him, confusion plastered across her face. "I shut it down, I didn't want to hurt you more than that."
"But it was done, I could tell."
"You still want to do it?"
"Well..." he unstrapped himself from the other straps that were keeping him bolted upright to the scaffold. "If what i'm thinking is true, you wont need to scan my brain again and I should be able to go into the dummy without any troubles."
"Yeah... but..."
"Honestly its fine and i'm fine, see." he twirled on the spot which made Exza smirk. "Do you have enough dummies for everyone?"
"Yeah..."
"You guys should try it, it feels weird, but... sort of... amazing."
The girl turned to the others then back to look at him. Duncan stepped forwards. "What do you mean amazing? Because it looked like you were being electrocuted."
"Well, yeah, but I felt... weird, like I was in two places at once, then... I remembered things from when I was a kid! And then growing up and meeting all you guys, starting YouTube, it was just... amazing!"
The others didn't seem convinced. Duncan, who was evidently one of the least cautious of the lot, looked round to the others with a slight frown. Lewis dropped his shoulders. "So I went through all of that for nothing?"
"Ill do it if you guys do as well." Exza stated, causing the room to look at her. She looked away form their eyes, not being a very confidant person. "Just saying."
Hannah stepped forwards and stood beside Duncan. She folded her arms and looked to Lewis, squinting her eyes slightly. "I'm in." she said and placed her hands on her hips.
"Yeah why not?" Sam asked as he too stepped forwards.
Exza smiled at them as more and more of the family stepped forwards and agreed to take part. "Great!" she said and Lewis went to help her get the other machines. Well, this would be fun.
