Exza's Christmas skin.
Emerald walked into the main bedroom, Exza was lying on the bed, cuddled up in the covers.
"What are you doing?"
"Im cold!"
"Put some clothes on then..."
"I am wearing clothes!"
"Yeah, a crop top and shorts..."
"Not helping Emerald! I'm not used to the cold, that's why in winter I grow my winter coat..."
"What's that?"
Exza looked at her for a minute before getting out of her bed. The roots of her tail and ears were slowly turning white.
"See? It keeps me warm... but this year its late! Im frigging freezing!" She began jumping round to try and keep warm. "My muscles are stiffening, I cant even run around as much anymore... I need some sugar.." She hopped out of the room and down to the kitchen where Opal was cooking some mince pies. "Ooo, that'll do..."
Opal batted her hand away with a wooden spoon. "No, its mine."
"But I need food."
Opal gave her a weird 'I don't understand' look.
"Oh forget it! Where's my icing?"
"I used it for the yule log."
"Oh for Fu-"
"Exza, why don't you get some sleep, maybe that'll warm you up?" Emerald asked from near the stairs.
"...Ok fine..."

Exza was jumping from tree to tree, bouncing from the branches and flipping from the logs. Like she was going to go to sleep! Suddenly, she began to feel tired and dropped from the tree.

When she woke up, she looked around. Emerald was sat in the corner of the room, also sleeping. She propped herself up with her elbows ad looked around more. She felt warm and cosy. She decided to jump up out of the bed, and to her surprise, her tail and ears were fully white, with grey tips. Her winter coat was finished! And just in time too. Sure, she would still be cold sometimes, but no more than everyone else.
At least now she could play in the snow!
