Description "It's really dark..." Exza stated, looking around the room.
"Maybe try letting the light source go first?" Ridge called from behind.
"I'm more than just a source of light friend..." The spaceman moved his way into the room. "What's that?!" He asked, spotting the creature sleeping in the corner of the room.
"Awwwwwww! It's so cute!" Exza squealed, going to make her way over to it. The spaceman grabbed her arm as she attempted to go over and cuddle the creature.
"Exza! It's a giant rat! How is that cute?" He grumbled, stepping to one side to let the others into the room.
"It's so fluffy!~" she smiled happily.
"Only you could be happy in a dingey dungeon..." Lalna smirked as he walked in.
"Speak for yourself!" Honeydew answered, folding his arms.
"Can I keep it?" Exza asked, like a child, to the spaceman.
"Exza it's probably dangerous..." He answered, looking at her. She pouted at him. "Let's just check if it's hostile first..." He sighed, giving a playful glare as the girl hugged him and made her way over to the rat.
"Hello little rat friend?" Exza asked, kneeling next to the rat. It awoke and looked to her. It was a black rat, quite small for a 'giant' rat. She tilted her head to one side and it did the same. She giggled. "Awww! I think he's my friend!" She giggled and the small rat with blue eyes nuzzled against her.
"I think we found parallel universe you." Ridge nudged the spaceman, smirking. The alien glared at him but knew it was probably true.
"Come on little fella." Exza said, letting the rat run up her arm and jump into her pack. She made her way over to the others again with a big childish grin plastered across her face.
"Hey, Xeph, point your eyes over here mate!" Honeydew called. The alien sighed and turned to face the dwarf.
He appeared to be looking at a chest.
"I think it's open...?" He asked, attempting to pull it open. "Well apparently not then..." He sighed and kicked the chest. "Stupid dungeons..."
"Well who was the rogue?" Sips asked.
"That would be me." Exza stepped forward and knelt before the chest, looking at the lock and then looking through her pack. "Well you guys should be able to open these as well... Simple mechanism." She grabbed a little piece of wood from the floor and ran it under the front of the lid. It popped open. "Ta-dah! If you need my help with harder chests let me know." She stepped back and let the dwarf, architect and dirt trader argue over who got what was inside.
"Haha! Gold bitches!" Honeydew said, shoving about 30 gold into his pack.
"Ooo, I got some... Seeds...?" Sjin said, sounding dismayed.
"A blue potion?" Sips said, standing up. "Cool! Should I see what it does?" He smiled at the others.
"Does it have any description?" The spaceman asked, cautiously.
"Chug it!" Lalna said, smiling, causing the spaceman to face palm.
"Alright!" Sips smirked and opened the vile, drinking it. "Ah shit..." He grumbled. "Yeah guys I can't see." He laughed, causing the others to laugh as well.
"So casual." Honeydew chuckled.
"Should wear off at some point since it's only an un-enchanted potion." Lalna said, taking the bottle and placing it into his pack. "Though this world may work differently to our one." He patted Sips on the shoulder.
"I'm not that bothered." Sips shrugged. Sjin giggled while waving his hand around in front of Sips' face.
"So what do these seeds do?" Rythian asked, walking over and looking at the seeds the architect was still holding.
"Have them if you want. I don't need em." Sjin answered, handing the mage the seeds.
"Alright..." Rythian mumbled, stepping away.
"I wonder what this is for?" Xephos asked, pulling a sheet of paper, somewhat like a scroll, from the chest. "It's called... 'ODAL'?" He stated. "I can't tell what it means..."
"Havnt you ever watched a horror film? You never read what's on things." Exza said, walking over. "I don't think you need to read it?" She looked at the scroll.
The reaper came over, looking at the scroll also. He smirked and raised an eyebrow, his signature look.
"Right well, I guess you just focus on it?" He said. "Xeph, just try focusing on the symbol and the word." He handed it back to the spaceman, who did as told.
And he disappeared.
"Eh?" Honeydew asked, and everyone looks to where the spaceman had been stood. And one by one they began to disappear. "The fuck?!" The dwarf asked, looking around the room he was now in. Dark, dank and he could hear something... A rat?
------------
"Guys...?" Sjin asked, looking around. "...S...Sipsy?" He backed against the wall and shook with fear. "Oh no..."
------------
"Whats going on...?" Lalna asked, looking around. "Where'd everyone go...?" He spotted a chest in the centre of the room and walked to it. "Another scroll? Isaz?" He raised an eyebrow and pocketed the scroll before walking over to one of the doors.
------------
"Well... Shit." Sips stated as he looked around. The room was small that much he could tell, but he could hear something close by. Something scuttling.
------------
"Um..." Rythian said, looking at the corridor he was now stood in, it seemed the be the one they had all walked down to get to the room. "Teleport. Why'd it have to be a teleport."
------------
"Oh great." Ridge sighed, noticing that he hadn't disappeared along with the others, instead he was stood in the same room.
------------
"I told him... I said, don't read the scroll!" Exza said, walking over to the door. It was barred up with wood, too strong to get through. She was trapped in what appeared to be a library. "Whelp. Mag as well get to work..." She added, picking a random book from the shelf and flicking through it. "Might give me some clue what were doing..."
------------
"And it's down to me to find them..." The reaper sighed, walking to the door they had come room, spotting the mage. "Ah, well there's one of you. Now the others. Good, I have someone to talk to, it's boring just standing in a room watching all your friends disappear." The reaper smirked and walked back into the room with the mage.
"Yeahhh..." Rythian answered, walking with him to the next door.
------------
"A staircase?" Sjin said, looking to the floor and noticing the dark hole leading down. "Next level...?" He sat down and leant against the wall. "I'll wait here for the others to get me... May as well stay by the exit."
------------
"Blue flames...?" The spaceman asked, walking to the strange shrine type structure that held a bowl of the blue fire. "Strange..." He mumbled and walked over. Upon standing on the pad next to the 'shrine' he felt strange... Different. Looking down at his arm he saw a symbol, a blue flame. He rolled his sleeve back down and sighed, looking to the door. He could hear whispering around him...
------------
"Ah, Sips." Ridge smirked, folding his arms. "Having fun?"
"Oh yeahhh! So glad we decided to do this." The dirt trader answered, sarcastically. He seemed to be listening for something through the wall.
"What are you doing?" Rythian asked.
"I heard some scuttling." Sips answered, defensively. "Ah! Giant rat!" He exclaimed, pointing to a rat that had just entered the room. Significantly bigger than the one the fox tailed girl had picked up.
"Do you think it's hostile?" Rythian asked, going to his pack and getting out his wand. "I have no clue what this does..." He mumbled to the reaper, who laughed in response.
"Ah shit! Thing bit me!" Sips exclaimed. "Right that's it big rat bastard, get ready. Ima pull out my whipping stick!" He stuck a hand out to the side "Rythian, pass me your wand!" He whispered.
"What?" The mage answered. He sighed and pointed the wand forward at the rat, a shot of fire ran towards the creature, hitting it. A little bar above its head appeared and depleted by about half.
"Health bar? Nice." Ridgedog smirked.
"Are you not going to help?" The mage inquired.
"Don't mind me, just observing." Was the response. Rythian rolled his eyes and out his wand away, letting Sips kill the rat with an arrow.
"Only two hits. Pretty weak enemy." Sips smirked, folding his arms cockily.
"It's only the first level sips." Rythian replied, moving past him and going through the door. There was another corridor, two doors on the part facing them and one round the corner from the looks. "Which way?"
"I suggest that one." Ridge answered, pointing to a random door.
"Let's go bitches!" Sips added, walking past and up to one of the doors opposite. "Sjin?" He asked, spotting the architect in the low light. Sjin leapt up an ran over, hugging Sips.
"Oh thank God! I was so... Uh... Fine." The architect stood up straight and looked at them all. "Anyway. I found some stairs leading down... I guess that's the only way to get to the bottom of this." He shrugged sheepishly.
"Was little Sjinny scared?" Rythian mocked.
"N-no! Of course not!" Sjin argued, trying to act brave.
"Come on, we should find the others before we venture further." Rythian smirked, turning back and heading for the other door. He opened it, spotting the ginger dwarf. "Ah, Honeydew."
"Ah! Hello!" The dwarf smiled. He turned, two rat bodies behind him. "I may need a heal at some point healer... Tanks can't survive on their own." He smirked and put his dagger back into his bag. "Though these enemies are fairly easy, the hits seem to be based on luck rather than skill..." He added, and they walked out into the corridor. "I found some potions on the floor by the way, figured I'd give them to you." He turned to Rythian as they walked, handing him three potions. Two yellow and one green.
"Thank you." Rythian answered, popping the potions into his pack.
"If we figure out which potions heal as I assume some will, I'll keep a hold of them for when people need them." Ridge said, turning the corner and looking at the wooden panels that covered the door. Still on the inside they could see light, and the fox girl, sat in the corner, reading.
"Well looks like someone's keeping themselves entertained." Ridge said, seeing the girl look to him, unimpressed. She stood, standing about as tall as the tower of books next to her.
"Don't get 'funny' Fancy boy." Exza said, closing the book she was reading "I actually know a lot about this dungeon an it's rules now." She pointed to the books. "Besides, I'm stuck in here... Can't get through this, even though it seems simple. Must be magic or something..." She sighed. "I'm assuming there's some way, I'll get back to you. Go find the others, I'll finish off here." She turned and sat back down where she had been before.
"Alright but be careful, there's rats everywhere." Rythian smiled and they headed back the way they had come.
"So there was another door on the original corridor?" Sjin stated.
"Yep." Ridge answered, smirking and leading them. When they came to the door they opened it to see the scientist stood there, observing the scroll. "Honey I'm home." Ridge smirked.
"Ha. Ha." Lalna answered, extremely sarcastically.
"What you find?" Honeydew asked.
"A scroll, I'm trying to understand how you can use it just using your mind...?" He mumbled before putting it back into his pocket. "Oh well. Where Xephos and Exza?" He smiled, readjusting his goggles.
"Exza found a library and we don't know where Xephos is. Assuming he's through there?" Sips stated, pointing to the door that was on the other side of the room.
"Ah! Maybe." The scientist answered.
"Wait, so you didn't look anywhere?" Rythian asked. "It's your fault we're in this mess scientist."
"I know, mage. Which is why I was trying to figure out these scrolls..." He mumbled before heading for the door.
"Hey guys anyone else have this weird symbol on them?" Sjin asked, making them all turn to him. They all checked their right wrist, spotting the little orange symbol.
"I'm sure it's something Exza will inform us on when we find a way to get her out of the library." Ridge answered. "Man I'm hungry..." He added.
They made their way through the door, and spotted the spaceman. "Ah! Xephos!" Rythian said.
"Hey guys." The spaceman smiled.
"Our light source has returned!" Honeydew cheered and hugged his friend.
"Thanks friend." Xephos said, sarcastically. "Guys I have a weird symbol on my arm...?" He looked at them.
"Yeah we all have it it's fine." Sjin answered.
"No, I have the one on my right arm which is an orange symbol but I have another?" He looked at them, hearing the whispering behind him again. He looked behind and nobody was there. The reaper looked at it.
"Blue flame?" He raised an eyebrow. "Strange. But probably nothing to worry about! Let's get going. We need to find a way to get a fox out a box..." He said, turning and leading the party to the library. "You doing OK in there?" Sjin asked.
"Yep, just dandy. Apart from the fact that I've read every book in here and still have no way to get through this thing." She stood and walked over. "So... Guess I'm stuck..." She frowned. "I don't like being contained."
"Oh well, we tried, let's go guys! We'll remember you Exza!" Ridge spoke from the back of the group and began to walk away. The spaceman grabbed the back of his collar and yanked him back.
"Not so fast posh boy." The alien said.
"Fine." The grumpy reaper folded his arms.
"Oh wait, this is wood." Rythian said. "I know!" He pulled out his wand and warned the girl to stand back, shooting the fire at the wood. It burnt away and the girl was free.
"I found some food as well while I was in there, and there's that orange symbol on your right wrist? That means you're hungry. Here." She passed everyone a ration of food. "I tried a little and it's sweet enough for me so. Anyway if the orange symbol turns red that means you're starving."
"So did you find out what we're doing here...?" Xephos asked.
"I did actually. The evil non-blue-hair Ridgedog up there is being a megadouch, just like usual blue-haired Ridgedog here." She answered.
"Watch it fox." The reaper glared.
"Anyway, he took the device when he realised I had it and threw me down the stairs, obviously I didn't know I had the device before so, I didn't realise. But he's hid it."
"Where?" The scientist asked.
"Deep in the dungeon. He wants to see how far we can get, is we get to the device we get to leave. If not... He's, well we'll be dead by this point but, he's gonna try and figure out what it does."
"So in short-" Sips said.
"So in short, we don't get it back, people of our world and us, are screwed." Exza answered. "Now onto jollier things!" She smiled, feeding the little rat a tiny bit of her food and then heading back down the corridor. "I assume you found the exit?" She turned to the others and the mage pointed to the room which had the stairs.
"Exza..." The spaceman said.
"Yes?" She hung back and let the others go first.
"Can you tell me what this is?" He asked, rolling up his sleeve and showing her the blue flame symbol.
"...it... It's called marked for sacrifice... Did you stand next to a blue flame?" She asked.
"Y...yeah? Wait, marked for sacrifice?! What does that mean?!" He asked, panicking.
"Don't worry, it should hopefully wear off soon, either way it basically means... Anyone who stands next to the blue fire is marked for sacrifice to the entities of the dungeon." She sighed.
"So... So I'm a sacrifice...?" He asked.
"Don't worry, it'll wear off. Besides, any being in this place we can take on. Simple." She smiled. "Now, down the stairs?" She looked to the stairs and he let her go first before following.
"Wait when did Sips get his eyesight back?"
