He woke up the next morning, he could hear Lomadia' whining voice followed by Lalna's trying to calm his girlfriend down. Oh god was she really complaining about the rent again?
The curtain that separated his small bedroom from the rest of the flat opened and Honeydew groaned. "Tell him!" Lomadia insisted while slapping Lalna with the back of her hand. "Look Dewy, it's the end of the month, and we haven't got your end of the rent." Honeydew groaned again. "Ah man you know I don't have it! You wake me up for that?" he flopped back down on his bed and put the covers over his face, blowing them up as he listened to Lomadia's annoying voice.
"Look Dewy, you haven't paid the rent in a while and I don't know maybe it's time you got a job?" Honeydew sat up. "What? Dude, dude." "Get a job!" Lomadia yelled in her nasal voice. "A real job! I am a secretary to mayor Israphel, hello?!" Honeydew glared at her. She softly rubbed Lalna's arm "And Lalna has the most important job of all." "Temping?" Honeydew questioned and Lalna rolled his eyes in response. "I'm not a temp! I'm a sub, and one day I'll be a real teacher!" Honeydew flopped back again. "We service society!" Lomadia stated "Hey, I service society by rocking ok?!" Honeydew said through squinted eyes. "That's it! If he doesn't come up with the rent by the end of the next month he is out of here!" Lomadia stormed off and left Lalna and Honeydew alone. "Dude just dump her man, you never made me pay you rent before she turned up!" "No Dewy i'm happy with her!" "Why don't you dump her though?" "Because I might never get another girlfriend again! Please just come up with the rent! Please?" Honeydew groaned and nodded "Ok! Battle of the bands is coming up and when we win I will throw you and your dog a bone, goodnight!" and with that Lalna left him to sleep.
