Description
It was snowing that day. And it was snowing now. Snowing down onto the white marble grave. A fresh bunch of blue roses lay there, slowly gathering the pure white droplets. The grave was shaped like a fox, looking up to the sky with its tail wrapped around it. He carefully placed his fingers on her name, etched into the marble, and let them slide across the words.'Exza
?-2016
"You won't forget how I lived, as long as you try and forget how I died".'
"You always thought you were indestructible..." He gave a sad smile. "Things are going well... We left the Jaffa factory, couldn't bare it there anymore. No fun without you." He gave a sad chuckle and rubbed his eyes. "Every time... Every time I remember you telling me not to cry if this happened and every time... I cry..." He took out his contacts, letting the blue illuminate the engravings. "I miss you... I always imagined me and you surviving past these guys... Seen as our life cycles different... To theirs... I'm really sorry Exza... I'm so sorry..." He wiped his eyes, before smiling and looking at the fox, stroking over its head. "But... I won't forget how you lived... As long as you help me forget how you died..." He smiled.
A hand rested on his shoulder and he turned to see the dwarf, giving a sad smile. "Mate it's getting cold out here." He handed the spaceman his jacket.
"Ah... Thank you."
"I should have known you'd be here." The dwarf sat next to him. "What you guys talking about?" The dwarf knew the fox girl wouldn't be the one talking, though the spaceman seemed to find some peace in conversing with her out here. He was just happy that the spaceman had finally come around to admitting she was gone. It had taken a while...
"Just catching up..." Xephos answered. He looked to Honeydew. The dwarf gave a small smile and the spaceman sighed. "We should get back to work..." He stood and the dwarf stood as well.
"I don't mean to disturb you friend..."
"It's ok. Come on, let's go... Do some work." He looked back to the grave, rereading the inscriptions for the millionth time, before turning and walking back with the dwarf to their new base.
"We got a surprise for you." The dwarf said, patting his friends arm.
