Description "I'm telling you it happened..." Sips said, they were in the research room once again. Sjin was leaning against the desk, Sips was sat on a cardboard box and Ridgedog was leaning against the wall.
"But you woke up after it happened." Ridge said.
"Yeah but it was real! He must have transported himself or something outside! It was too real to not be a dream..." Sips said defensively. He knew what had happened.
"Has anyone actually checked the cell?" Ridge asked.
Sips and Sjin looked to each other and then back to Ridge.
"God you guys are impossible..." The reaper walked over to the door, followed by the other two, and down to the cells. The reaper went to the door and opened it. Inside was the same, torches lining every square inch of the room and the spaceman, chained to the wall with his head flopped forward weakly. "See Sips... Just the same..." The reaper whispered. He closed the door to again and there was a silence where both of them looked to the dirt trader.
"Wait... Outside! Where the creatures were... The light that came from him must have left marks or something!" Sips said. Ridge didn't look convinced, but Sjin nodded.
"Yeah it might have happened..." The architect said, defending his friend.
"Alright, let's go check upstairs." Ridge finally said, and they headed off.
Unaware of the spaceman projecting himself at the door in the room they had just left. Screaming and yelling as his projection twitched and flashed across the room.
------------
The trio made their way outside. It looked normal, but as the reaper made his way further down the trail he knelt down, finding small ash piles in the middle of the path. He stuck his fingers in one and then rubbed the smokey essence he had gotten on them in between them and his thumb. "Ash..." He said as Sips walked over.
"From the monsters!" Sips said. "It did happen! I told you it was too real to be a dream!"
"It was still a dream... I don't understand what happened to make it real but..." Ridge answered.
"Hey guys..." Sjin called from over next to the wall. On the white wall was almost a bleach line, where the light had shone and left the imprint of the flowers on the wall.
"Its definitely a real dream..." Ridge said.
"How does that work then?" Sips asked. "It happened!"
"Yes it happened in your mind, and somehow got projected here. We need to ask Xephos if he had the same dream. Or if he had something to do with it." The reaper stated. "Now... Let's see..." He walked further down the path, walking backwards and facing the other two. He followed the bleach marks on the wall, slowing down a little, and then, stopped. He was stood just where the marks matched up with the plants, and there was a gap in between the piles of ash. This was where it happened...
"This is it..." He whispered and looked around slightly.
Suddenly, he felt jolting and heard screaming in his head, the spaceman. He was the spaceman, he was jolting and he was screaming.
And then just like that, it stopped and he took a step back, breathing heavier.
"You ok Ridge?" Sjin asked.
"We need to talk to Xephos..." The reaper answered.
------------
They got down to the dungeon and opened the door. The torches now held blue flames instead of red and as the reaper edged round the doorway, letting Sips and Sjin hang back just behind the door while peering round the side, they saw the projection. It was flashing around the room, weakly, faintly. Just staring at the corner, then flashing to leaning against the wall, and the spaceman still lay chained to the wall.
And suddenly, the projection stopped flickering and turned its head to look at them. It's eyes glowing bright blue. And then, disappeared. All the torches turned back to normal.
The reaper didn't take his eyes from the spaceman, but the other two looked to each other. Nobody ever knew Xephos held all this power.
Ridge made his way slowly over to the spaceman, kneeling down in front of him. He waited a second.
"Xephos...?"
The spaceman's head shot up to look at him. And the torches went out...
