he is really pretty...but going thru a rough time right now. He has foxtails, a nasty type of sticker, inside of his skin that is causing him problems. I am playing vet and taking care of him, so far he is okay and we are keeping it all localized. The stickers can be dangerous so we are hoping he hurries up and makes a full recovery!

That's awful! I hope he gets better really soon! I would hate that to happen to any dog!

Anytime! Aww, wish I could see more.
I bet he's a great dog. Beautiful photo, truely!
This photo is actually one of my favorites I've
ever seen of a golden. Absolutely georgeous
photo! I just love how it came out. The clearness
& softness of the fur is amazing! All the detail, it
is just an overall perfect photo!

My son brought him by yesterday and I could not believe how much weight he has put on! I know lab's gain weight easily and that part of him certainly has. He is still a beautiful dog, and if he had held still long enough i could have gotten some new shots of him. I told my son he needs to take him to the dog park and just let him run, have some fun, work off some energy.

thank you. He claimed my son as his owner so I no longer have him here. They can be great dogs...very loyal and friendly.

i love this type of dog!
I'm thinking of buying one too but I live in a flat and I'm afraid that when he grows up that might be a problem for him

Golden adapt fairly well. If they are given daily outside playtime and exercise, they are usually okay. A local dog park, long walks, etc. are mandatory. Talk to a reputable breeder, other owners, do research. There are tons of them in the classifieds, on craigslist, at the shelter. Mine was a golden/yellow lab mix...stubborn, hard to train, destructive! So, be careful about mixed breed goldens. The best dog I ever owned was a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever. AMAZING dog! I would recommend one in a heart beat! Purebred goldens, also lovely dogs from what I have heard. Good luck! And if ya get one, I would love to see pictures!

I kinda changed my mind today. I did do some reasearch for a couple of days and faced the truth that it would take a lot to breed such a dog
while i was riding my bike i saw a 'shepherd's'( hope that is how they call it )in someone's garden and stopped to stare a bit. then the owner spoke with me and told me that it took a lot of time to take care of big dogs. She also said that it kind of destroyed her garden( digged a lot of wholes). she recomended me to buy a cat. it would be a lot easier to take care of.
maybe when I grow up and move in a house, have a well-paid job and a lot of free time I'll buy one and give him all my love.
for now I'll just keep admiring other's dogs and enjoy my non-breed dog in the country-side

I am so glad you were able to ask around and find out the information you needed to make a decision. Good luck and if you do choose a cat...I would love to see photos of it as well

I had a cat in the countryside but unfortunately for me and my grandparents he ran away a few weeks ago. but I still have a lot pictures of him. I'll search trough my pics and see if I find some acceptable shots worth of being posted.
one of these days another cat came to their house. it's a cub and I managed to take a sort of exotic picture of him. I'll post it right now
