I like how she's blocking out the main part of the sun - makes it seem kinda ambiguous. And the teddy bear makes it look like she's just a little girl again. Thats my interpretation

Wow. For some reason, mind mind keeps interpreting the background as either as sunset or the beginnings of a mushroom cloud. Either interpretation has its own twist of emotion...
