Location: Saidpur Village, Islamabad, Pakistan

Exploring into Saidpur Village, I stumbled upon these two kids, cooking on an open fire of scavenged twigs and branches.

The Door itself was amazing and the kids were also fun.

I first tried to do just the kids, but then I stepped back .. and took the whole scene ... The door , the kids, the derelict building. (It turned out that they actually lived in this ramshackle house)

Trying to be friendly and put them at ease (I realised that my presence was making them apprehensive) I asked them .., "Whats cooking ?"

They said .. "Sir, Its just rice, actually we are not cooking it, we are just reheating yesterdays rice."

(moment of silence ....)

"Sir, we dont have GAS in our house .. Thats why we are here...."

(Stupidly I replied ..) "Well I dont have gas in my house either till only a few months ago" .,. ( as some form of condolence)

They Asked ... THEN WHAT DID YOU DO !!!!

(I didnt have the heart to tell them that before I got a natural gas connection I had three Industrial CNG (Compressed natural gas) cylinders feeding my home all the time and a back up Electrical Stove too.)

(Silence while I was thinking how to answer)

SIR ,,,, (They said ) would you like to have some of our rice .,,are you hungry ?

Bless these lovely and generous children.. may they always be so generous and innocent
