Details:
Was asked to illustrate a Battle Geisha. Was told to keep it very flowy so I changed up the style a little bit. The movement through the body was supposed to be symbolic of a reed being blown by the wind, bending. I also felt that I wanted the background to be an epic explosion of colour and flowers and blood drops to help give this soft geisha's world mixed with battle.
Enjoy!

I like it.
I noticed that the handle of the Katana is wrong. Since you bind it handle you cannot have the pattern go over the edge like that. The "dark parts" are the threads you use and the yellow parts would be the original colour of the handle. The edge has to be all black.
(sorry I can't describe it better)

Interesting point you bring up there, and I totally know exactly what you mean . I was mostly going for the simplification of everything in the picture. But I guess that said it would make sense to have made it all black on the end
. Thank you so much for the comment

Nothing wrong with simplification - in fact I like that about your picture. But making the tip black is still simple XD
