She chose the stage name Vanité… Many people think this is linked to her Asari pride, but we know this refers to the art showing the transience of life, the futility of pleasure and the certainty of death. Shadé is more than the handsome Asari everybody discovers at first sight; she is a kind, yet hypersensitive, soul who doesn’t find her place in this Galaxy. Creating, painting, singing… Art is the only way she found to express her feelings, her doubts, her fears… and her hopes. Her voice is a gift of Fate, but her beauty is said to have been granted by Tevura herself. Actually, some believes SHE IS Tevura. Her power of seduction is matchless, she could have been the consort of the most powerful beings of the Milky Way. But, as she admits it herself with a sad smile, this is also her curse; this may sound so corny, however Shadé doesn’t want to be only seen and love for her beauty and talent… As a siarist, she is looking for a different man, a man able to see her soul, to consider her as part of the greater whole… A man that once could have been part of the spiritual energy filling her heart.

And there is nothing she likes more than being called Mrs. Shadé Spencer…

Andrew “Ryan” Spencer is the perfect example of a priceless asset for both the Alliance and our Unit. The officer is respected for his incredible knowledge about explosives and bombs (I’ve heard even the Turians envy and admire his skills…) but most of all for his sacrifice: when he still was a N6 trainee at the N-school, Ryan discovered the bomb used for the exercise was actually a real threat (a terrorist act of sabotage, it seems). He saved twenty fellow students at the cost of his legs and a life in a wheelchair. Obviously, he couldn’t attend the course for N7 graduation on the asteroid… though he got the coveted designation and the rank of Staff Commander, the Alliance considering his act of bravery as a sufficient test.
He is Chance’s best friend (brother, would say some) and they are always teasing each other, trusting each other. But Ryan is also the only man able to comfort the pilot and hold back his silly behavior. Actually, in the Unit, he is the balance we all need, the confident… and the cook! Gosh! His waze kokur is a delight!
Totally marriageable! Ryan smiles at this mention… He believes in Fate, Karma and does not think a man like him could find a woman interested in a cripple.
I hate when he says this… May Athame hear you, silly man!
