Description
Hi deviantart members!Here's my latest 3D artwork. It shows a scorpion of the maurus palmatus type.
I tried to recreate it in 3D. Cinema 4D and various SSS-Plugins were involved.
The background is done with Photoshop 7.
Critiques are very welcome

awesome!! not just this one but ur entire work! there is just one thing that bothered me in thins pic. It looks very real, but i think it's too perfect!! lolol a scorpion without any marks scars imperfections on the skin? but anyway i only wish i could do things like that too!

wonderfully done my friend, though the lighting looks like it's almost underwater, that is if the lighting was blue, but I sure do love the detail in the sand and the scorpion, do you know the smaller the pincers the more deadly the venom is? judging from the pincer siz in this one, he's a little less venomous than his other cousins.

from the zoom out I wasnt quite sure how this made the front paage (not that it didnt look good- Im here arent I?) But omg the detail is amazing. Stunning effort

except for the claws not extending out in a brown glaze structure I'd have to say it looks real. in full veiw you could definately fool anyone who hasn't seen these guys very up close it was a real photo. I'm extreamly impressed! and It makes me want to go crush scorpions (I live in AZ theres tons of them here)

my god that's spectacular. That Scorpion actually looks like its going to come right out of the computer screen. The detail you used is amazing. This has to be one of the best Deviations I have ever seen to date.

This is amazing craftsmanship. At first i thought it was a picture. The only think i can say is somtimes theres a thing call to much perfection. Just somthing about how even and perfectly shaded erks me... *goes to find a picture of a scorpian to check and see what is erking him* anyways. Did you know scorpians glow under a uv light? It looks pretty damn cool.
