Hi deviantart members!Here's my latest 3D artwork. It shows a scorpion of the maurus palmatus type.
I tried to recreate it in 3D. Cinema 4D and various SSS-Plugins were involved.
The background is done with Photoshop 7.
Critiques are very welcome

i haven't seen a scorpion closeup so i can't say if it looks realistiv but i would think that it's claws would be a lot smoother, kick ass image tho

i love you sand effect-- i think your earthly reds and sand tones work really great together. awesome creepy lighting too that just kind of seeps in from the top somewhere ^_~.
