Yeah, I mean imagine loosing your mom and instead of focusing on that you focus on some dumb relationship drama, Not gonna happen. And hopefully now that she’s found her mom she’ll be way less stressed.
I personally think it was because She was stressed on finding her mom and didn’t really have time for talking to Tom, but It was also kinda awkward too, I’m sensing some disorder in the relationship. Something I also thought was reeeaaallly interesting is how when Star joikingly calls him stupid before she hangs up, Tom immediately calls Marco and is worried Star actually he’s stupid when it was clearly a joke as well as asking Marco a bunch of questions about Star. That was kinda hinting at their relationship going downhill.
Honestly I was suprised Marco didn’t hug her when she was crying, but I do think it might be because of him trying to give her some space. Once again I think they’re probably going to handle the relationship drama very soon, probably once they’re done with the whole moon thing.

I hope we get to chat with each other as the episodes go along. I really love this discussion with you and it's really fun =]. The "Swim Suit" episode next week confirms that they are planning their beach day, so that can be interesting.
Back to StarTom, they just aren't spending much time together and that's important in a relationship. While she's becoming more distant with Tom, she's getting even closer to Marco. I mean, Marco LIVES with her so Tom is already at a disadvantage. Let's be real, if she REALLY loved Tom, and REALLY missed him a lot, she'd have him join on the search because Tom doesn't seem to be doing anything. At the beginning of "Another Mystery" she was about to have a moment with him, but Marco interrupted. And even after that she immediately defaulted to Marco coming with her in search of Buff Frog and seemed to completely forget Tom's presence for a second. Now I don't know about you, but I'd 100% choose my girlfriend to come with me on a search because I love her and love spending time with her even if what we're doing is serious. Star didn't do that though.
I sorta wish they'd show what Tom is doing when he isn't with Star. Maybe he's handling the underworld kingdom and dealing with his people, etc. This is something they could've expanded on in those filler episodes if they wanted Tom to be more of a fan favorite character. Because despite liking him he still feels like a plot device to me. They can show his interactions with his parents or even show where the root of his anger issues come from, because I don't think that's been explored. Has it? His anger issues had to have come from somewhere but we don't know why.
I was surprised Marco didn't hug her either. Only after finishing the episode did I think it was due to him wanting to give her space. Again, he only really hugs her if she wants it as I stated in the earlier examples. He's always been respectful of her space. Usually it's her invading his personal space hehe xD.
The "Escape the Pie Folk" episode was still great though. I loved the heartfelt moment of Star and Moon singing together. That really made me smile. Only thing that threw me off that episode was Star getting super flustered at Marco touching her lmao. The way she said "Marco get your hands off of me!" was really high pitched. Don't get me wrong, it made me laugh but looking back it was a bit odd.

While I do love this and it looks very cute (Star looks very beautiful with that dress ^w^), I honestly prefer Marco and Jackie because I think they are more perfect together.
BTW, is it wrong that instead of shipping Star with either Marco, Tom, or Oscar, I want to create my own OC and possibly ship him with her?

I personally prefer Starco, While Jackie and Marco are cute together, I just think Jackie isn’t what Marco needs, and Marco isn’t what Jackie needs. Star and Marco also have better chemistry. But that’s my opinion ^w^
