When i saw the picnic table overlooked the property below i felt like i needed to draw this. Extra points for the show providing Nathans childhood comfort food when he is feeling a little homesick

Story - 313 words

Orienteering wasn't something he'd tried before but it seemed a good way to start the show and it gave him a chance to explore the property, He wasn't so worried about being the fastest to gather all their markers instead it was the perfect opportunity to spend a little stress free time with his boy.

It had been a busy enough show schedule for him. For some reason both he and Devon had believed it a good idea to send them both to Australia to experience the show circuit in for a few weeks but by now he was growing increasingly homesick and longed to get back to his spouse, family and friends those long distance calls were never enough and Bryn was growing by the day, a master of crawling and the bum shuffle across the living room floor. "He'll be walking soon enough" He thought to himself as checked the map sighing heavily. He should have brought something to put it in. Others had come prepared with saddle bags and stuff and now he wondered if he was under prepared. "Fuck it" Folding it up he pushed it safely into the top of his boot until only the top poked out. Sometimes you just have to make the most of a situation and improvise with what's at hand.

It was an interesting course they'd set up, the landmarks really show casing the best spots of the property but his favourite by far was the picnic table how could any of the others compare when they were giving out "Fairy bread!" there was audible excitement in his voice when he lay eyes his favourite nostalgic comfort food, that cheap but cheerful triangle of colourful joy that his mother used to dole out to him when he was young and upset. Maybe she was still looking out for him all these years later.
