PETA = bad. They hurt more than help. I lurve animals, but I justify eating cows because there are far too many of them and they need to be cut down on (pollution and stuff). If nobody ate cow, we would still have cows. If only a few people eat cow, we will have to have less cows.

This is super old, but I want to comment anyway... Technically, we have so many cows because they are bred for slaughter. If people didn't eat cows, we would stop breeding them for slaughter, and that would be all the population control we'd need. So, if you're eating cows for population control, you're actually going backwards.

That was so old I hardly remember writing it. I agree. I'm sure if I remembered the basis for my argument, I would be able to have a great conversation about this. As it is now, though, I don't. I like steak, I like beef, I know the ranchers I get my beef from. On the other hand, I am wary of chicken because of factory farming and I don't eat pork at all. I think what I might have been trying to say was that at least a few people need to eat beef to support the business that many people live on, or something to that effect. Not sure anymore.
