Description
I recently found out that the genus Odobenus, which holds walruses, has only one species: The walrus. What this means is that there is only one species of walrus alive right now. This made me very sad, so i decided to make some species friends for it!
the first one (top) is Odobenus opimus, commonly known as the Fatty Walrus. It spends most of its time in the water, and uses its small pointy tusks to fight for dominance and mates. The combination of these 2 factors let it evolve a thick protective and insulating hide.
The second (middle) is Odobenus ingens, commonly known as the Great Bearded Walrus. This walrus spends lots of its time on land, but when in water its long torso lets it glide through the ocean in a slow and majestic way.
the third (bottom) and last is Odobenus veloces, also known as the Seal Walrus. This walrus can swim swiftly and uses its small protruding tusks to snatch fish away and eat them. Due to its lack of fat, which helps it swim fast, this walrus species lives more south and herds of them can be found along the European and American coasts.
If you want to make your own walrus species to help raise awareness of #nomorelonelywalruses then go ahead! Spread the word

how about some Morrises with more tasks or less tasks or other expanded mouth features, like we see in the fossil record, is everybody despite trying to draw new walruses seems to keep trying them aside from you with two downward facing tusks.
