Description The Game engine is from Kirupa Platform Tutorial .

Virtually I turned my character model of a rabbit into a character sprite for a platform game. I am pretty under-developed in my knowledge programming wise so until I learn I will use an alternate game engine to test my character models. I wanted to see how my animation skills go in a gaming situation so I looked up a gme tutorial and used to FLA and played with the character sprites.

Basically I incorporated my abbit into the protaganist and I animated a wolf enemy then started on developing somewhat of a level.

Arrows keys to move and jump. Spacebar to shoot fire.

Be sure to comment and give advice on how I can possibly improve.

Yeah I haven't implemented any real form of restart...yet

This is really neat!

I like how parts of the rabbit are continuously moving, even when it's stationary- makes it look really life-like! I also liked how the different sized carrots gave different amounts of points... yay for the GIANT carrot! xDDD

Hrm... though maybe it could be helpful if you put words above the numbers so that players know why they're floating in the sky? Does the rabbit have a set number of lives? A counter for those would be pretty neat too, if it's possible to put in. ^^

yay, that was fun! this could turn out really cool when finished. i also like the idea of the fire-spitting bunny (don't you want to make an animation of the bunny actually spitting the fire balls? ). there are some minor problems with the animation (jumping sprite lasts a little bit too long when the bunny hits the ground again) but you're probably aware of that

Wow! that was a lot of fun. Especially that giant carrot! Great Work. But yeah the jumping is a little slow like said before but other than that I love it.

yeah I gotta work on that. Probably gotta either increase the frame rate or simply increase the gravity. Thanks for the comment though

It's very good, but...
(1) He looks a little wonky when he goes down the slopes.
(2) He's still "running" when you stop.

yeah it's kinda glitchy cause im really noob at programming but i'll learn and improve on it

sometimes it keps the running animation on even when it stops, it's very weird :S

You're pretty skilled with Flash. I'm impressed at the quality of the animals(Especially the shading.). It's a pretty well put together Side Scroller too. The jumping seems to be a little slow though.

Yeah the jumping is the default setting but it doesn't really suit my character. I might tweek it a bit to make it suit a rabbit.
