Description So this is my entry for the contest over at #Heavenly-Princesses here: [link] yes, it's ANOTHER Sailor Moon thing. Sorry guys! I just can't resist design related contests, and there seem to be so many SM ones that I hear about! This and my second entry will be it for the forseeable future. On the plus side, this is the first time I've submitted something with modern clothes, I think, so at least that's new!

Ok, so! Outfit breakdown time!

Swimsuit

This one was tough, but actually turned out to be my fave, I think. I wanted to do something classic for her, and so it had to be a one piece. Unfortunately, there's so little variation in one piece bathing suits aside from cutouts, which for some reason I didn't feel like using. So I poked around a few fashion magazines and took a look at a few designer swimsuits. I saw a tankini with a twisted top like this one has, and it just sort of came together from there. Little secret: I included the rose because I like the pairing of Setsuna and Mamoru. Her hair is a bit '90's here, but whatever. If it is, it's one of the nice 90's looks, I think.

Evening Gown

I would have given her a dress that's more...I don't know, me? More vintage and gothy, I mean, but she's got SUCH fantastic legs that I was determined to design a dress for her that showed them off. I compensated for this by giving it an extremely gothy palette, but I think it suits her! The material is one I've seen a lot recently on the red carpet - Jessica Biel wore a dress in a similar material just recently. For those who haven't even seen dresses in this material in stores, what it basically involves is a very slightly shimmery cream, rather sheer fabric with little knobs of black thread or small dark beads over another similarly coloured fabric. The effect is, in my opinion, very pretty.

Wedding Gown

Another vintage-y thing, inspired by Erte and the GORGEOUS dress Isla Fischer wears in Wedding Crashers (look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about, it's amazing). I don't like complicated wedding dresses. My favourites are the beautiful and very simple ones, so that's what I've done here. Also, she's wearing the ring on the wrong finger to show that she's only modelling the look.

Themed Outfit

It's Pluto, so I decided to go with clocks as the theme. I didn't want to do another dress, I'd already done three, so I used a sort of steampunk Victorian look. I think the vest and the waistcoat are my favourite part. Notice the roman numerals and clockwork patterns! I'm very proud of them. also, her cane, stirrups, and necktie are shaped like clock hands.

Fancy Makeup

Extremely 40's goth, as you can see. Basically, a metallic smokey eye combined with very glossy lipstick. The beads are black pearls and the hair was again inspired by Erte. It's based on a style he uses a lot, and I LOVE it. Also, she's wearing false eyelashes, a la Marilyn Monroe.
