I was able to get a half decent shot of the moon with my little sony cyber-shot. Had the 4x optical zoom maxed, 15 sec shutter speed, then cropped. I think the only reason it has some detail is because the moon was so low on the horizon.Related content

I like that you cropped it though. Looks like one of those images that can just be shown better(the rise/fall of the moon) by the fact that it is actually elongated in your image even more. I'm rambling.
