Description
I had issues with the Vilous wiki's way of handling Sergals, but there it was very apparent Mick was trying to create balanced creatures with different strengths and weaknesses. The Avali wiki? Definitely worse.I'll say this: Describing sex/mating rituals with your species is ALWAYS, WITHOUT EXCEPTION a bad idea and takes away from things.
For one, people can imagine that just fine. For two, I'd advise focus on *what* the creature is and why it exists- most importantly it's niche. It's unique role in the ecosystem... And don't forget subspecies. Skin color is only a small part of the vast diversity of our scattered presence across the world.
Shigans, vaguely shark-based come from dangerous alien swamps, running away from superpredators through dense woods and murky water, eating what they can.
Vali, more of a feathered rodent come from forest crevices and shallow caves, their small size able to fit where dangerous predators can't reach them, enormous ears and eyes navigating the darkness.
Humans are great apes, mostly evolved in plains as I take it (claims not cited, take with salt.) We can effectively climb and swim to reach new areas, our size and group behaviors deter predators.
Tools were not considered here- All three of these sapiens use them.
Of course this is merely my opinion, not a gospel. Advice may not always apply
