Andre knew it was coming. He knew that as much as he wanted to close his eyes, run the neutral clinic and let someone else do it; he was in this game as a fighter and knew that he would eventually have to try and get the flag for his team. His eyes closed, lying in his bed, he tried to think of who he would go after as he faded into sleep.------------------------
"So. You have come to try and capture Ruby's flag. All others have admitted failure and returned to base. The chance of you succeeding is 7.32 percent, Andre Torres." a glaring red eye stared into Andre's from the dim lighting of the room.
"I still have to try..." Came Andre's voice, a lot more optimistic than he felt.
"Then you have chosen obliteration." The shorter man's blood ran cold as Rune came into the light, half of his face seemingly melted off, and a metal skeleton gleaming under his normal flesh. The eye on that side was now a mere red bulb, dangerously burning.
Andre bolted.
-----------------------
Dead silence met Andre as he walked into the Sapphire landlord's room. It was dark save for an eerie blue glow from a window. Andre was beginning to regret coming to fight without backup. He has a few paltry water balloons, but what good would that do against something like Rune?
A quiet laugh met his ears "You here for the flag?" A normal looking, if not hugely tall, redhead smiled at him.
Andre seemed to relax some "Yeah, I hope you'll try not to go on easy on me."
A shift in the atmosphere, the man';s smile grew wider, unnaturally so as sharp teeth began to lengthen. His pupils lengthened to green slits, the color an unnatural green. "Oh don't sorry... I won't... You earth creatures are SO fascinating. So very fragile too..." Clawed hands reached for him and Andre screamed backing out of the room to fall onto the ground.
------------------------
Andre met the floor with a thud, waking up shivering and wide eyed. "Th-that was horrifying." The black haired man rubbed at his neck, clambering up into bed and wrapping himself tightly with his covers. He decided then and there someone else was going after the landlords. He wasn't doing it.
