It's definitely been a while since I touched DeviantArt.  Good god, reading some of my comments makes me cringe...and I thought I didn't come across as angsty back then, hah!

Anywho, hello.  How are you?  That's just great.  In case it wasn't painfully obvious at this point, this account is dead. Well and truly.  It was more morbid fascination than anything that brought me back on today.  Wanted to rattle those cobwebs, you know how it is.

What I really wasn't expecting was the backlog of notes/comments.  Apparently there's been more than a few folks trying to get my attention for (in some cases) 5+ years now and have gotten the comment-equivalent of a dial tone.  Since I don't plan to make a habit of logging back into DA going forward, I figured I'd post one last journal answering some of the more frequently-asked questions I've gotten.

So here goes.  Grab that popcorn and flip open that notepad.

WHERE ARE YOU?

Not here, but that goes without saying.  Really there are so many iterations of this question that it's difficult to neatly phrase this in a way that answers everybody.  I've even had a few complete 'randos' asking about what I'm up to IRL which is a little strange.

The long and the short of things is that I'm more active these days on Furaffinity than I am here.  You can find me here  if you're so interested.  I'm still not NEARLY as active online as I used to be, but I'm fairly responsive on FA (especially if you send me a note).

I spend most of my online time (what little there is these days) gaming with friends on Steam.  While I DO have an account it's pretty unlikely that I'll be divulging it any time soon.  Just an FYI.

WHEN IS (INSERT ALIEN-THEMED SHORT STORY) GOING TO BE CONTINUED?

It's not.

...what?  I don't know what you were expecting.  I started this account almost 7 years ago and had written most of those short stories years prior.  They were an outlet for me during a particularly turbulent time of my life.  Now I'm a young adult, and I don't feel the same emotions as I did back then.  I still DO write quite a bit, but the tone, themes, settings and (especially) characters are almost wholly different.  Which brings me to my next point...

XENOS XENOS XENOS XENOS XENOS XENOS XENOS?

Slow your roll there, space cadet!  Before anyone else messages this mausoleum of an account with the assumption that I live, sleep and breathe Xenomorphs and any subject matter involving them (like I was years earlier), you should be well aware that I've largely moved away from fan fiction.

I never really felt satisfied producing content based off of other people's intellectual property.  I felt I could never really call any of the settings or characters I created well-and-truly my own.  As such, while I DO still like Xenomorph-related content from time to time, I'm far more interested in completely original concepts and themes (especially Fantasy or Science-Fantasy type fare) these days.

WILL YOU ROLEPLAY WITH ME?

No.

WILL YOU ROLEPLAY WITH ME?

No get out.

WILL YOU ROLEPLAY WITH M-

TRULY THE NUMBER OF NOTES WAITING FOR ME IN MY INBOX FROM PEOPLE WANTING TO ROLEPLAY WAS STAGGERING.

I think this subject in particular bothers me a whole lot more than it probably should.  Part of the reason I left this site was because of the sheer glut of people that where not interested in saying "hello" if it didn't mean there was a roleplay session attached to it.  I swear I have some kind of pavlovian response when I hear the letters "RP" now.  I have no interest in Roleplaying with some dude who's just "walked in off the street".

On top of that, it's pretty frustrating when I try to introduce myself to someone, and they feel compelled to refer to me as a Xenomorph (even after correcting them).  The closest thing I have to a character to personify myself online (a  fursona if you will, as much as I hate that word) is an insect-taur-like-thing (seen herehere  and here ).  Now while I completely understand that you might not know that when you're first introducing yourself to me, disregarding that information once I've filled you in and choosing to continue referring to me with Xeno terms is a one-way ticket to  me disregarding your existence altogether.

Woo, that got a bit heated there.  Moving on.

Are you going to commission more stuff from me?

Believe it or not this is a question I found in my inbox not once...not twice...but three separate times.  Like...how obnoxious can you get?  I get that a lot of artists use commission work as their primary source of income, but that does NOT mean you get to cold call your prior customers and try to strong arm them into sending you money.

This is DOUBLY true if, 7 years later, you STILL owe said customers artwork.

'Nuff said.  You know who you are.  Smarten up.

If you've tolerated my rant thus far, then congratulations!  Hopefully you have a better idea of what I'm up to and where you can reach me.  I might drop back on here for another day or two to finish responding to some of the artists with outstanding work due to me, but other than that this account it gonna get real quiet real fast.

So now you know.

XoXo (but not in the call-the-police way)
