Description The Binary Field is a lonely place.

I've heard that new arrivals will be coming soon, however. That's nice. That should make things around here much more lively. At least, I hope so. It was rather enjoyable when I first arrived, but it has been a while since then.

I suppose testing has finished since then.

Alpha Seven believes the new arrivals will be the finished models. I suppose that makes sense, since it's been such a long time since we last received somebody in the field. We used to get regular updates, but they stopped a while ago. At first, Theta Nine thought we had simply been forgotten, but we managed to convince him that this wasn't the case. Rather, something big was about to happen, and they simply didn't have enough time to tell us about it.

If these new arrivals really are the finished models, though, that would explain the cessation of updates. There's no need to update the prototype field if there is no longer a need for the prototypes. I don't think they'll necessarily get rid of us, though. We prototypes, although perhaps less stable than the finished models, still have our uses.

That's what I think. The three of us are stable enough to function properly. Our three prototype models were the only successes; we were able to maintain our physical shell without having our mental AI disintegrate or malfunctioning.

I remember hearing about what happened to Beta Five. Her circuits overloaded and she went berserk in the testing lab. Casualties were hidden, but I heard that they were... high. The Beta series was discontinued after that.

Will we go the way of the Beta? Not just Beta: Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Lambda, Tau, Omega. Scrapped because they did not function properly. Of the ten original models, only three remain. After all this is over, will we too be discarded? But we can still serve a purpose.

Theta Nine worries too much. They wouldn't get rid of us. They've poured too much effort into this project to simply throw us away.

I'm sure they'll give us something to do.
