Description
Alpha Seven was right. I relayed to her my congratulations.Theta Nine was reassured by the fact that they had not forgotten us. And then, of course, went back to worrying, since the finished models were now done. There is no need for prototypes if the product is finished. I suppose I am anxious as to what happens now as well. I suppose we all are.
These new models, however, look incredibly different from any of us prototypes. I must compliment our creators, going from us to them in such a short amount of time, and without any further testing. Part of me wonders if it is wise to have developed such a vastly different version without using prototypes to stabilize the programming, but these must have gone some other sort of testing. I do not believe that unstable and untested models would be fielded.
They are not that desperate.
They have created two new models. The standard trooper, Model ST, as well as a specialized trooper, Model DH. I wish their ranks the best of luck in the fight ahead.
At the moment, they are still getting used to the Binary Field. It serves as a rest and recuperation area, where our AI can leave our robotic shells and wander around in cyberspace for a bit. It is currently rather empty and featureless, but I believe there are plans in place to install new software and programs that will give residents something to do while they are here. Communications and intelligence reports also come through here, so residents are always updated and knowledgeable as to what is going on.
They have isolated the prototypes to a small field. Contact with the new arrivals has been minimal; the three of us were herded here shortly after our arrival. Theta Nine is agitated again, but Alpha Seven has gone over to try and calm him down.
Still, I have my doubts. There is no particular reason that I can think of as to why we are being separated from the newer models. Theories, perhaps, but nothing that I am sure of, nor can I verify. Queries directed at the creators have been avoided or ignored.
Are we truly too obsolete to be used any further?
But it does not seem as if we will be deleted. The task would have been done long ago if that were to happen. They would not make us wait that long. There would be no reason for that.
They would not be so cruel.
