Description
Be prepared Equestria. The new era has just begun.
Result of my latest art experiment: combination of humanized MLP and sci-fi. I thought it will be quite a challenge to create such artwork, but also an occasion to learn a lot of new things. I chosen to draw Twilight, because she's probably the most characteristic pony. Since I prefer to make rather subtle, non flashy references to MLP, using character, with is recognizable itself, was the most sensible choice. I hope I managed to balance artistic values and fan-art aspect. Anyway I really enjoyed creating this artwork and I gained some new artistic experiences. As always, I leave the final evaluation of the drawing to you.

I didn't consider creating any more MLP - sci-fi combination in nearest future. I neither say no or yes when comes to continuing this project. I might do something like that again, but I don't want to promise anything.
By the way, how did you like MLP's season 5 premiere? ^^

Sorry, I don't think it will be possible in the nearest future. When I'll decide to open requests for everyone I'll certainly make some advertisement or information for it, so you'll know.
I didn't shown my presentation to organizers yet (I'm still working on details), but certain it will be accepted. After all it's not something very professional (however, like last time, there probably will be some people who are actual artists) and everyone from my school who creates any kind of art can participate. I hope my work will receive a good response from the audience
Yes, leaving Starlight Glimmer free certainly wasn't a wise decision. From the other hand, it would be pretty exciting, if we could see her returning at season finale with an army of equalized ponies on her side, when Twilight will be forced to take responsibility for her actions and deal with big Equestrian revolution, that Starlight provoked

Actually, in my opinion Twilight will make a good leader, but she needs a lot more experience. After all, her coronation was not long ago and she haven't even used to the title of "princess". On the other hand, Twilight is rather scientist type and regardless that whole "Princess of Friendship" thing, I expected her to be more sensible and rational. To be honest, I'd love to see more of well-read and bright-minded Twilight over plastic princess, that Hasbro is trying to make out of her.

I am just at law school, and I study the history of law along with MANY historical leaders, their decisions.....and I am anyway a history buff, participating at olimpiads at the subject and such
Twilight is not ready for this ! And they made her a princess....which she deserves, but just by being good ^^ And as I said, good people don't make good leaders XD
Sometimes good people have to be decisive, charismatic, flexible, strong !

I see what you mean. It is true, that you cannot be good leader and remain crystal-clear. In my opinion Twilight should learn from Starlight Glimmer. First, she should definitely study that spell she used and second, learn Starlight methods of manipulation. Twilight can't possibly think that always everything will go smoothly, besides it's always good to know your enemy tricks. They're probably will be a situation, where Twilight will be forced to manipulate her subject or even her friends in order to protect them and maintain peace in Equestria. Being good leader and being appreciated and loved by public opinion do not always go hand in hand. After all, unpopular decisions are part of sensible politic.
When it comes to cutie mark stealing I agree with you. That scene was totally undeveloped. Dangerous, manipulative unicorn trying to steal from you the essence of your being? Oh well, Equestria will certainly protect itself and Harmony will be remained...
