Live and learn. Learn to regret. Learn to forget. Learn to abandon the mind for alluring details. Let awareness of innermost feelings flounder in a sea of bright lights and roaring sounds. There are so many lessons to memorize and regurgitate. So many critical numbers, codes, and passwords. Life is put on lay-away. Learn to pay the mounting bills. Life reduced to survival. Inner demons can be expelled by paying a sum of money for yoga lessons. They can be explained through a check to a trusted, certified psychologist. They can be ignored with a prescription to the latest anti-depressant. Self-determination is sold in pocket books, always coercing the reader with an assertive, commanding tone. Attend a seminar. Attend a workshop. Appreciate a donut or a pot of coffee. Learn to mistrust internal desires--seek external moral authority. Religion spouts tracts of paper-thin moral absolute. Confide deepest secrets to spiritual adviser. Hand over keys because they\'re safer in the hands of somebody else. Apparently the only one who can decipher the steering mechanism is incapacitated. Little stars in a vast galaxy of remote pin-pricks of light. Learn to shine brightly, but be brief. Try not to step on the feet of others. (The toes I pinch today may be connected to the ass I have to kiss tomorrow.) Learn to flicker. Die out. The universe is a morgue.Related content

i like how you explore getting rid of inner demons by using something of monetary value in exchange for something with [at least, i think] little or no substance. pay someone that doesn't give a shit about you to hear your problems, your money goes to the executive with the mahogany inlaid desk [paid for with money from people like you, they never tell you that] that owns the publishing company that the pocket book, paper-backed, [with theories unproven, yet reviered] came from.
