My name is Hinoki. I wanna start off when I was 8. My mother was giving birth to my little brother. I already had an older brother (He’s not REALLY my brother, but I consider him as my brother), Kabuto. My father is Lord Orochimaru. My mother died giving birth to my brother. My mother isn’t really that important. She was just one of my father‘s followers. Kabuto was already a medical-nin when she was pregnant. So, basically, he was our only doctor. He walked out of the room, covered in blood. My father stood up immediately and ran in the room. My mother lied on her bed, lifeless. Her corpse was covered in sweat and blood. The dead child lie next to her, covered in some weird white goo. I slowly walked in to find my father sobbing. I stood in the doorway, motionless. A blank expression on my face. Kabuto stood next to me and kept one hand on my shoulder. I stared at my mother. Her pale eyes stared blankly into mine. One arm off the bed, as if reaching out to me. I just stood there. My father motioned for me to come. I disobeyed. I sighed, “I’m sorry, father. But I cannot live in a world without my mother.” And I ran off to my room. I pulled out a bag from beneath my bed and opened it. I rushed to my closet and pulled some clothes off their hangers and threw them into my bag. I packed 30 kunai, 10 shiruken, and 4 katanas (Swords). I felt as if I had forgotten something. Then, I remembered: my music-note necklace. It was an eighth note. I quickly put it around my neck and wrote a note reading:ffice

Dear father and Kabuto,>
>
I have had a good life here and I appreciate that. But I cannot live in a world where my mother isn’t around. So, I’ve decided to live on my own from now on. Please do not try to follow me. I will be alright. I love you both.>

I opened my window and jumped out. I landed on my feet (Being a Ninja-In-Training, and all) and ran into the woods. I headed north. About a year of traveling, I made it to Sunakagerue, land of the sand. I was nine years old and I already knew how to live on my own. As I entered the village, I was already treated badly. People shunned me for no apparent reason. I saw a little boy also being shunned. I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around. He had lonely green-ish blue eyes. I smiled at him, “Hi. I’m Hinoki. What’s your name?” He gazed at me in sadness, “Sobaku no Gaara (Translation: Gaara of the sand).” Questions were running throughout my head. Why was he alone? Why was he so sad? Why doesn’t he have eyebrows? But all I did was smile, “Nice to meet you, Gaara. Wanna be friends?” His face suddenly lit up, “Really?! You wanna be friends with me?!” All I could do was laugh. I nodded because I couldn’t speak. He gasped and hugged me. I had my first best friend.>

One year later, we entered the Sunakagerue ninja academy. I became friends with his brother and sister, Kankuro and Temari. We were training one day, and I heard a noise (I’m from the Sound village, so I have accurate hearing). I spun around and threw a kunai in the direction of where it came from. My aim was perfect (As usual). I heard something fall out of a tree. It was Kabuto! I gasped to find myself running over to him, “Kabuto! You idiot! What the hell are you doing here?!” He chuckled, “You never let your guard down, huh, sis?” My sympathy grew into anger, “Is father here?! And you didn’t answer my question! What the hell are you doing here?!” He weakly stood up, Gaara positioned himself to attack. Kankuro started to un-wrap “Crow”. Temari took out her giant fan. Kabuto smiled, “Your friends are quite protective. And I just wanted to see my little sis. Is that such a crime? And no, Lord Orochimaru is not here.” I sighed in relief, “Thank god…” He ruffled my hair and chuckled, “You really don’t want to see your father, huh?” I scowled at him, “Leave now.” And at that moment, he left. I turned around and saw Kankuro and Temari’s jaws dropped. Gaara just stared at me blankley. I had already told Gaara about my dad, but I guess I forgot to tell Kankuro and Temari. I smiled kind of embarrassed, “Yeah….About that, my dad is Lord Orochimaru. Now, before you all start freaking out, let me just say that Gaara already knew! We just wanted to tell you when we all got older. Now you can react.” Temari was first to react, “So….Your dad is one of the 3 legendary ninja?” I nodded, “THAT IS SO COOL!!!!!” Kankuro yelled. We all just glared at him. “Uh, yeah. I guess so…” I said kind of awkward. About an hour later, we started training again. The next day, Gaara and I went to the market to get some ingredients for Kankuro’s birthday cake (His birthday was the day after). We got the flour, the flavoring, and the icing. We were best friends, so we did everything together (well, not everything, but you know what I mean). We thought we had everything, so we went home. Gaara and I were the best cooks in our house. But two out of four people that are good cooks isn’t all that special. So we made the cake, but we forgot two things: The milk and the sugar. So, when the cake was finished, we decorated it in his favorite colors: Black and purple (Also my favorite). We lit the candles (12 of them) and brought the cake in. It was tradition for me to sing the ridiculous “Happy Birthday” song. We sliced the monstrosity, and handed it to Kankuro. He took one bite, and he made a strange face. Me and Gaara glance at each other, worried. Kankuro smiled and said, “Cake’s awesome, guys. Only problem is, that you guys forgot some ingredience.” I smacked my face (AKA: Facepalm), “We’re so stupid! Sorry, Kankuro.” All he did was laugh.>
