For r/SketchDaily’s theme: Expressive eyes
Eyes are my favourite feature and one of my favourite things to draw, definitely my go-to doodle. I wish I could have spent HOURSSS on this, but tomorrow’s a busy day.
This is inspired by that historical romance novel trope of the unsure and usually lower-born partner being swayed by the titled dowager that the lovers’ secret relationship is a sham (when really she just wants to marry her daughter off to the other gentleman for his family’s riches.) But this is the point where the other protagonist busts through the parlour doors and says something corny yet delightful like “Bad form, Lady Craven. I didn’t hear him say ‘want.’ If you ever listened to anyone but yourself, perhaps you’d make a better liar. As it is, you and your daughter are no longer welcome in my home. Mr. Andrews will see you out. Oh, and expect a letter from my lawyer concerning that recent venture of yours. I think you’ll find you didn’t make your fine print fine enough. Good afternoon, madam.” Then the boys kiss!
