In any case, meet Ziknark's SIR unit, Ri-Ruu. Ri-Ruu is a prototype recovery SIR (an unfinished one at that). Recovery SIR's are a new variety of SIR unit created by the Irken military to aid in dire situations. They do not posess excellent processing power and intelligence as other SIR units, but are instead fixed with a number of different medical and escape aids, including spider legs of their own (the main reason Ziknark chose one for his SIR). Their standby colour is green, and duty mode the usual red.

Right then. Well, as i'm sure you can imagine, being the little rebellious copy-creating creep he is, the tallest didnt exactly hand over a brand new prototype SIR unit to Ziknark. No. Ziknark actually stole Ri-Ruu. He and Point 2 were, after a prank gone wrong, running from hundreds of Irken soldiers. Realising that after their latest blunder they were unlikely to be allowed to survive, let alone function in Irken society (having blown up the largest snack factory on Irk), they decided it was best they attempt to escape to another planet. While on their way to the ship bay Ziknark and Point 2 ducked into an unoccupied room to hide from the guards. This, coincidentally, happened to be a SIR storage area, and Ziknark wasted no time pulling one off the 'state of the art recovery SIR' line (lest they require its services later).

After this basically they escape and, by some strange coincidence, end up on Earth, and have to hole up with Zim for a while. But that's another story. The alligator suit was also Zim's idea. What can I say. And that red strand poking out of Ri-Ruu's head is a live wire. He wasn't quite finished when Ziknark stole him, so the wire remains unconnected. Those who touch it recieve a nasty shock, and it also inhibits his thought capabilities. Unlike GIR, Ri-Ruu can go into duty mode and fulfill his masters commands, but only for short periods of time. Other than that he is rather strange. Though in a different way to GIR. He is rarely bubbly, more a straight-faced, monotonic little robot who states everything as fact, no matter how strange. He is, in a word, creepy. He has also formed a strong (albiet one-sided) rivalry with GIR, being incredibly jealous of the mental SIR for some reason yet unknown. GIR appears ignorant of their rivalry, despite Ri-Ruu's reminders.
