Description

THIS IS A TRIUMPH! I FINALLY MADE A COOL COVER FOR ALLY'S ORIGIN STORY!

I am extremely excited! And proud!
...

Ok fangirlling aside, here is what each of the items on both half mean:

Left or Adeline:
The Alcohol Bottle- represents Adeline's frequent abuse due to her father's drunkenness and fury when drunk.
The Bunny and the Drawing- represents the connections Adeline had towards her older brother Johnathan, which the picture of the girl and the boy is there especially. The bunny was given to her before she was sent to the asylum. (And a bit of a tidbit- who's that other figure in the drawing? Her "imaginary" friend)
The Scalpel and the Roll of Bandages- represents the pain and torture Adeline suffered under the hands of the medical staff in the vain attempts to "cure" her madness. Ahh good ol' Victorian medicine!
The Book- represents Adeline's eagerness to learn to read and dive into the stories so she could escape her mad world of hell.
The Bloody Hatchet- This is the weapon that killed Adeline- and the cause of her being reborn as a stitched up doll due to pity of a lost life.

Right or Ally:
You mostly already know most of the symbolism behind the objects but I'll list them anyway!

Key and Gears- These are what keeps Ally alive and is where her "inherited" powers copied from Slenderman during her resurrection is sealed.
The Operator Voodoo Doll- This is what was given to Ally a year after her rebirth- a "birthday" present from her "mother" or foster parent Annelie Grünewald before the matron left to serve WWI.
Needles, Pins/Pincushion, and Thread- This represents Ally's hobby of making various voodoo dolls based off the one she was given as a young child by her "mother" and her useful skill as a seamstress. How else she kept that dress and her skin in perfect condition all these years? xD
The Various Drawings-  This is another symbolism of how she adores her "family" and how she prizes them as her own- no matter how dysfunctional it gets between the Faceless Operator and his "family" of Proxies. This shows how much the doll cares about them and will do anything to protect the ones she loves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, I drew Adeline with her hatchet wounds to echo the stitches on Ally. I love how the blood turned out. Sadly. ;w;  So one side showed the murdered life of an abused child and the other shows the rebirth of the child in a "family" that may be broken but still care for each other.
Enjoy ;w;
Ally/Adeline (c) meee
Condensed version of Ally's Backstory:
CP SUMMARY: Ally's Background Story Condensed
    You see, before her death (or murder preferably) she was a young Victorian-era child born with the name Adeline Abendroth. She was the youngest of 4, living in the slums of Berlin, Germany. Her father abused the whiskey that he craved, an addiction taken up shortly after Adeline was born handicapped. She had 3 brothers, who were named Johnathan, Sebastian and Raimund. Johnathan was the youngest out of the brothers that Adeline had and he was 11 years her senior and he was the one who mainly took care of her even though in that society's eyes, her mental issues was viewed as madness and disliked.
Mr. Abendroth and his sons worked in the coal mines that surrounded the area on the outskirts of the city and due to the unfair conditions of the mines and his fury when drunk, Mr. Abendroth started to abuse his family. He mainly targeted Adeline, due to her mental sickness and tendencies to speak about the "voices" in her head and other v
