Description
Jik entered a large room with a table in the middle of the room. There where two other scientist in the room, one looked up, both wearing the same white lab coats. Mist opened her eyes halfway, blinking slowly. Jik put the smeet on the table.“So, the smeet was born successfully?” Fla asked, glancing at the smeet on the table. The smeet was fully awake now, letting out a small hiss.
“Her name is Mist..” Jik said slowly. Fla looked at him.
Fainted
“You named it?” She asked, eyeing him.
“No. She told me her name.” Jik said. Mist looked up at him and cooed as if to ask, “What’s going on?” Jik sighed.
“Well, it dose not matter. Tie her hands and feet down.” Fla said, gathering up the things she would need. Jik sighed and did what he was told. He tied her hands and feet with a metal like rope to small hooks at the sides where she was laying. Mist let out a small baby sound, as if knowing something was wrong.
“We are ready to begin.” Fla said, putting various medical things onto the counter next to the table. Mist frowned and stared at Jik, pleading for him to let her go. Jik sighed, there was nothing he could do. Fla picked up a needle, containing a red substance that would allow the smeet to survive in space without oxygen. She then injected the smeet in the arm. Mist screamed, more of a wail then a scream. Jik covered his antennas, the nosie loud and piercing.
“Get...your hands off me!”Mist hissed softly. Fla ignored her, picking up other needle. The black substance that would allow the smeet control the elements. She injected the smeet. Mist let out other high pitched wail and fanited. Jik untied Mist and picked her up.
“Take her to the nursery.” Fla said, returning to her paperwork. Jik frowned and stopped by the clothing station. They had made cloths fo her so that they grew with her. He fitted her with the cloths, not putting on the boots. Mist awoke and blinked softly.
“What happened?” She asked softly. Jik looked at her and sighed.
“It doesn’t matter.” Jik said softly and took Mist to the nursery. The nursery was a room where the newly born smeets where kept. Jik lay Mist down in a basket. She looked at him, puzzled. He pulled the thin blanket over her and left. Mist sat up. But the basket was covered with a glass with small holes in it. The glass was domed, but she couldn’t get out. She stared around, and she cooed softly, seeing one of the nurses come in. The nurse came over to Mist’s basket and opened the dome and gave Mist a bottle. Mist stared at the bottle for a moment and looked up as the nurse closed the glass. She started to drink the mixture. It tasted bitter and she spit it out and threw the bottle in the corner of her basket. She closed her eyes, breathing slowly. She fell asleep, her tail curdled around her leg.
