jesus... this is exactly what I envision myself doing when I am in the height of my isolation periods - being drawn into my cocoon of misery - sucked down and into this soft, rigid, murky, darkness... held there by things that suck the fucking life out of everything in, near, and around my existence.
As I said both soft and rigid above, I think that you of all people will know precisely what I meant by that. That is like the epitome of misery right there. It is hell in the beginning and then it becomes so goddamn comforting once it's had its little hands all over you for a bit of time.
I fucking hate it- but this piece - I feel so deeply within myself because as of late, this is the exact place in which I have been.

Yes, it's like you're in a fucking cocoon even though there are lots of people around you. A cocoon that can burst into panic if someone pokes it. But most of all the isolation comes from being so engulfed by the disorder that you can hardly move or see anything around you. Sometimes it feels like you're on a different planet than everyone else.
Yeah, it's sucks ass to say the least. I just want to scream; get the FUCK out of my head!

Yes Isolation can be dynamic, I love the duality expressed with gesture and upward streaming motion. Mental illness holds its own rich complexity. Great sensitivity in this piece (& naturally sensuality as well)

Excellent composition. The imagery is quite powerful and bleak. I think the pose of the figure speaks volumes and really adds emotion to the overall piece. Beautiful texture and effective/subtle use of colors. I think many people, including myself, can relate to the theme. Visceral, haunting, and moving. I'm always impressed with your photomanipulations. You connect the concept with the arrangement of elements in a beautiful way. Great stylization.
