Description Yeah, I know: Me and my underwater stuff.
I think I'm just drawn to this realm because of the sheer vastness and mystery. There are some bizarre creatures living down there.
Jellyfish are fascinating to look at, aren't they. So graceful and fragile, yet some can give a very painful and even fatal sting. Just like humans, ey?

to lil old meeeeee mmmmmm rar kitten of mine. this is beautiful. It makes me feel a specific sense of peace that you know, (and you do), I have not felt for quite some time.

I love the sea, and all things within it. I have always loved it since I was little. It has been the one force that brings to me peace and calm - I also love to go to aquariums and see all of the tropical fish. I hate that they are removed from their homes in the ocean, but it is nice to watch them.

Jellyfish have always amazed me with how beautiful they are, how fluid they move...the neatest creatures for sure.

God I love this. so good to sign in tonight and see a piece from my favorite.

RAWRRRRR.

It was odd, but from the very conception, our crazy siamese twin connection kept shaping this piece.

I love the sea as well, in fact I could never imagine not living close to it. My calmest moments is sitting near it and just listening. It's comforting somehow.
Even just looking at underwater documentaries or aquariums soothes me; everything is so graceful and alien, and so fragile yet powerful.

I guess my subconsciousness depicted us as twins sisters in an alien world.

Love the heck out of you, peanut.

dethblossem In reply to IreneLangholm [2009-03-04 14:23:43 +0000 UTC]

mmmmmmm you've just made me all sentimental. It is ok. It feels nice right now...

I am the same. I used to have several aquariums but right now I don't because I am going to be moving so I figure I will wait to I am out in Chicago and then I will set them up again. They are the most calming things in the fucking world to sit and watch in the night when everything is silent and still. And I don't decorate them to death with stupid fucking colors and mermaids... no, I use as much natural, everything, as I can get my hands on.

I want saltwater tanks, but they are so touchy. But still, there are freshwater fish that are just as beautiful.

The sea is so comforting - more so than anything else.

Twins in an alien world sounds right...if you really think about it. That is exactly what we are. Love you too kitten.

Absolutely. As long as the sea life is happy though; not like that poor Keiko (Free Willy). I don't really like to see killer whales and such be cooped up in a little tank to do tricks for humans. The Keiko story is so sad. Oh, when they finally let him go after almost 20 years (how did they expect him to survive? Plus he was already sick), he actually spent his last years on the coast of Norway. He died there as well.

The sea, oh yes. I'm having a blast everytime I take the 3 hour speed boat ride out to my grandma and uncle. I more out on the top deck then sitting inside, it's so much fun! Hope to do it again this summmer.
Damn, I feel lucky to live here; the whole damned country is one long coast.

oh that really pisses me off. some of the sea creatures do not need to be in tanks for our general amusement. sharks included in that notion. they are too big and NOT domesticated, lol, and should NEVER be put inside of a glass cage.

I love the smaller and more easily contained sea life though. It is beautiful to watch and to just get lost in.

that poor killer whale, that makes me so sad. I hate hearing of things like that. people are so stupid. for having it as long as what they did they may as well have kept it.
