I didn't draw the lineart of this picture, it's just a coloring. However, this art is very important to me personally. The thing is, for many years I was afraid to color my own arts. When a sketch is just drawn, it seems perfect to me. I was terribly afraid to ruin it with clumsy coloring, because I have little experience in shading and selecting color combinations. My progress in drawing had been stagnant for three years. Until just a couple of months ago, I decided: if I'm so afraid to ruin the art that I drew myself, why not practice using someone else's lineart? So I bought a coloring book and chose, as it seemed to me, the ugliest page in it. The painting looks much better than I expected.

This is how I overcame the fear of coloring. This is why there is a significant difference between the portrait I drew 3 years ago (Rhys ) and the portrait I drew yesterday (Dolores Abernathy )
